SEO Directory of Directories

SEO-Help only lists directories of value in link building.

This is not a list of every directory on the web, but a list of directories which benefit webmasters in link building. Many other lists contain directories which are not search engine friendly, contain 100's of unrelated sites in one category, use java script redirects, DMOZ clones, and sites that are not directories but search engines.

A quality directory needs to

• Be spider friendly
• Have clean links - no javaScript, nofollow, redirects etc
• Have Good organization
• Have no more than 80 listings per page
• Actively accepting submissions.

Free , Reciprocal, Paid?
Most directories offer more than one type of listing, so a single directory may offer Free, Paid, or Reciprocal listings. For paid directories offering more than one option i have listed the cheapest price for a basic listing. You can sort by Title, Free, and Price by clicking on the column titles.

Page Rank, Alexa Ranking, number of indexed pages etc.
The are no longer listed since they were misleading.

1. The toolbar Page Rank is overrated in link building.
2. Some directories have high PR on the front Page but nowhere else.
3. Alexa rankings are inaccurate and has nothing to do with link building.
4. Number of pages indexed can be useful but this favours monster directories, and puts smaller niche directories at a disadvantage.
